In September 2009 Itech Electronics Markham Division responded to a major loss fire claim in Northern Ontario for a prominent local restoration contractor. When Itech arrived on scene 90% of the building was destroyed due to the fire. Itech removed approximately 50 computers and equipment from the premises that included computer client systems & servers.
Itech Electronics returned to our facility with the units and immediately began to stabilize the equipment. With our state-of-the-art aqueous cleaning system and rapid drying rooms Itech was able to stabilize the equipment quickly and safely preventing any further degradation of components.
The computer equipment was thought to be so heavily damaged that it would be impossible to recover any data, in fact over 70 per cent of the data on the hard drives was recovered, saving irreplaceable information for the client.
It was due to the timely and skilled response from the contactor and itech crews that ensured the success of the recovery.
